Complex Care

Complex care describes the care we provide to an individual who require a more complicated and delicately managed form of care. It is care for any individual who has an ongoing health condition that needs medical intervention or more complex ongoing assistance to support them with their day to day life.

At Joycele Care, we provide complex care through our experienced support staff, registered nurses and clinically-led team, all of whom have received extensive training to ensure they are able to meet our client’s needs. In addition to providing this expert care, we also support our clients to maintain control over their day-to-day life, to feel a sense of achievement and, ultimately, to feel fulfilled.

Some of the care needs which describe complex care needs include:

  • Tracheostomy care, for anyone who has a tracheostomy tube fitted that can be managed at home.
  • Oral and tracheal suctioning, to help clear secretions from a person’s airways.
  • Oxygen therapy and ventilator support, to help a person breathe — either because they have an acute disease, like an infection, or a chronic long-term condition.
  • PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) care, for anyone who is unable to swallow foods, drinks or medications.
  • Stoma care, including emptying and changing of stoma bags.
  • Plus more

The type of Complex Care we provide ensures people do not have to receive that level of care whilst residing in a hospital or stuck in such a setting. People can live in their own home and receive great care support, from highly experienced professionals or multi-disciplinary team.

Supporting a person with complex care in their own home, allows them to remain as independent as possible in the environment they know and love.

Whether you’re living with a complex condition, need a little respite support after a spell in hospital, or have a newly acquired condition that you need support with, Joycele support staff are on hand to offer support across a range of conditions including; Alzheimer’s, Stroke, Cancer, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Palliative & End of Life, etc

We provide support for any type of complex care. At times, between assessment and placement, some of our support staff who will be allocated to support an individual with complex care will need to undergo additional training or refresher training, to ensure we provide a personalised service.
